The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau holds its inaugural Roadshow in New Zealand

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) hosted its inaugural promotional roadshow in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 22, 2025.

This business-to-business (B2B) event connected over 30 established travel trade representatives from Sri Lanka with more than 70 New Zealand industry representatives and media. The gathering provided a direct platform for attendees to discuss and forge potential partnerships.

During the formal event, keynote speakers emphasized Sri Lanka's value as a compelling and largely untapped destination for Kiwi visitors. The speakers included Mr. Buddhika Hewawasam, Chairman of the SLTPB; Mr. Prasanna Gamage, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to New Zealand; and Mr. V Ravindran, Manager/Asia Pacific of SriLankan Airlines.

Attendees enjoyed an authentic Sri Lankan dinner and were treated to a cultural performance by artists from the Mathra Dance Academy - Auckland.
