High Commissioner Prasanna Gamage visited Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple in Auckland

High Commissioner Prasanna Gamage visited Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple in Auckland on 08 February. Chief Incumbent The Most Venerable Walgama Munindawansa Nayaka Thero and Resident Monks invoked blessings to the new High Commissioner and wished him a successful tenure in New Zealand.

The Most Venerable Thero welcomed the High Commissioner and conveyed his appreciation to the government on the action taken to establish the new Mission as it has been a long felt need of the Sri Lankan communities living in New Zealand. 

The High Commissioner also met with The Board of Trustees of the temple and briefed them on the progress on the establishment of the new Mission. The Trustees briefed the High Commissioner of the activities being conducted by the temple with the community and requested the High Commissioner to support and patronize their activities.
